Radiation shielding curtain cleaning
May 16, 2026
Radiation shielding curtains can be washed by hand, but be aware that their radiation-shielding function will decrease by about 5% after 50-100 washes.
For regular washing, you can use ordinary neutral laundry detergent or liquid to wash the curtains, similar to washing ordinary clothes. Do not bleach or use products containing bleach, and be careful not to use water exceeding 90 degrees Celsius.
When hand washing radiation shielding curtains, be gentle and avoid vigorous rubbing. If there are stains, you can gently brush them clean. Avoid machine washing if possible.
After washing, do not wring the radiation shielding curtains dry or use a washing machine to spin-dry them; simply air dry them.
